"Unveiling Yuzu: The Citrus Sensation You Need to Know About"

Maybe it's  watching Shogun and being transfixed by Japan in the 1600's.

Maybe it's the annual Cherry Blossom festival, a rite of Spring in D.C. where townies and tourists alike schlep to the Tidal Basin to experience a pink and white immersive delight thanks to our Japanese friends. Best gift ever!

Or maybe it's memories of a warm bath and massage at Ten Thousand Waves, a Japanese inspired Inn near Santa Fe New Mexico. After total relaxation, I was led to a gift store specializing in many Yuzu products. Heaven. Well, a girls got to shop!!

And Now, I'm in a Far East state of Mind!

Similar to grapefruit, but with more oomph, yuzu fruit is used in Japanese and Korean cuisine, as well as skin care products. Yuzu is cold pressed from the yellow and green rinds of the fruit. Uplifting and calming, it helps to boost the immune system and is effective against colds and flu.

Bathing with yuzu rinds during the winter solstice is an ancient Japanese tradition.

I'm sure after a hard day of clan battles, the soldiers needed a little Yuzu bathing.

I'm waiting for that in a Shogun episode!
