Like many, we traveled to Sedona to embrace its breathtaking beauty and explore the stunning red rocks and vortexes, not to mention our desire for an alien encounter at Airport Mesa.

So many stars—how would we know? We did encounter a javelina and a snake—quite an experience for a suburbanite! Of course, we explored the many crystal shops and delighted in Sedona's tchotchkes. Note to self: ship the rocks from the stores next time (much easier on your back).
Our first stop, naturally, was a psychic reading and Reiki treatment. "You should meditate," my sweet practitioner told me. Yeah, yeah, yeah—tell me something I don't know.
As for those vortexes, our hyper-caffeinated jeep tour guide doesn’t believe in them; he feels the whole area is a vortex. He has a point. Whenever I travel to beautiful locations (especially in the Southwest), my goal is to escape from the old me. A good thing for a seeker!

If you’d like to experience Sedona in your own space, try Wisdom of the Earth essential oils. I bought the Spirit of Sedona Aromakit. One inhalation of Pinon Pine takes me back to the enchanting Enchantment Resort in Boynton Canyon—Terra Cotta Splendor meets Red Rock. You may even have an encounter with an alien or a javelina.

Pinon Pine: Helps promote healthy lungs. Good for spastic coughs, headaches, sore throats, and adrenal issues. It can dispel worry and release negative emotions. Apply to the Heart, Third Eye, and Crown Chakras according to Wisdom of the Earth.
